This review has to first start off with thanking Seppe, our trip coordinator. Seppe helped me book a custom 9-day vacation for 4 which highlighted Lima, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco and Lake Titicaca, and it was a trip of a lifetime! From the initial correspondence and throughout the entirety of the trip, Seppe’s communication was always on point. He was extremely patient and took care in answering every single question I had, which were plentiful. Furthermore, we had a small issue with a non-threatening strike happening in Cusco during our visit. The strike ended up only interfering with one of our travel days but Seppe and his team were extremely helpful in supplying us with alternative sights to see and ensuring our safety. The alternative stops were actually probably even better than what we had originally chosen as a group to do. The guides' knowledge throughout our entire trip was stellar in all areas and it should be dually noted that the entire teams' aptitude to deal with caring for us in an out of the ordinary situation was impressive. You will be in very good hands when you book with this team. It is also important to note that our accommodations were amazing. The natural beauty within Peru is some of the most beautiful you will ever see. And while the sights were incredible, I would have to say that the people we encountered on this trip were my favorite part. All of the people we got to know work very hard and their friendly attitudes never changed from day to day. I am forever grateful to the Sato staff, tour guides, hotel personnel and the locals we met. They made our experience that much more unforgettable. We hope to be able to use Sato again and we would 100% recommend them to others. Thanks Seppe and Team! We wish you the best!

First contacted SATO to find out about a tour of Peru. Was promptly emailed a proposed itinerary complete with pictures and descriptions by Seppe and so it began. I must admit I was a bit hesitant about booking over the internet but my gut instinct said that this was ok. Highly recommend the service and assistance we received from Seppe and all of his Tour directors. Everything went so smoothly. We were picked up from all airports and bus or train terminals by wonderful tour operators. Juan, our Lima director met us at the airport and then when he drove us 2 days later back to the airport for our flight to Cusco had printed out our boarding passes and assisted us with check in and stayed with us until we went through security. This was a great help as we didn't speak spanish. We were met in Cusco by Boris. Unfortunately there were protest issues in Cusco the day we arrived so we weren't able to be dropped at our hotel and had to walk a fair distance. This was unfortunate but out of their control. Our itinerary had to be altered which turned out to be a blessing. We were meant to be doing a tour of Cusco that afternoon but it was altered to our free day. My partner, Mitch, had a really bad case of altitude sickness and luckily Boris rang to advise on tour arrangements for the next day and after telling him that Mitch was not well he arranged for the hotel to deliver Coco leaf tea. The staff also arranged oxygen for Mitch, which made him feel a bit better. The next day we went to the sacred valley which had a lower altitude. Our tour guide at Machu Picchu, Patrick, was just wonderful. He was so theatrical and knowledgable that the tour was outstanding. It was great to go back to Machu Picchu the next day to explore on our own. In Puno we were met by Pedro who confirmed pick up times and tours. For our final flight back to Lima again our boarding passes were once again printed for us and we were assisted with check in. The hotels were all clean, great staff. All in really good locations, close to restuarants or train stations. Allpa in Lima packed us a breakfast because our pick up was before breakfast hours. The staff at Midori in Cusco were fantastic. All tour guides were very informative and knowledgable. If you are considering booking a tour of Peru, I would highly recommend SATO.

The 10 day Machu Picchu and lake Titicaca trip was amazing! Peru is a beautiful country with lots to discover. This was my girlfriends and my first big trip together and we landed in country on her birthday. So was a very special trip.

SATO made this trip really easy and stress free. The organisation was excellent and when we needed to make contact there was someone there to take our call. I can definatly recommend the services of SATO for an expertly planned adventure. All the transferes to and from the hotels and trips/flights/bus were efficient and on time.

Thank you SATO and we will be recommending you to all we know.

Sam and Agata.

Seppe of Sato Travel put together a wonderful private trip for our family of four. We visited Lima, Cusco, Puno, Machu Piccu, Lake Titicaca, and Sillustani. The hotels were clean, beautiful and high class, and all the trips were very well planned. We enjoyed the combination of air, train and bus tours. While in Lima and Cusco, Mr. Boris Bustos of TEPERU was very helpful. He not only personally greeted us at the airport late at night, but he also came to the hotel to accompany us to the bus terminal and explained every tour personally at the hotel. Seppe's advice to exchange US dollars into Peruvian Soles in Lima and Cusco was right to the dot--we got better exchange rate than in the U.S.

I will definitely use Sato Travel again, and will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We really recommend this site. It was really easy to create your own package. They answer all the questions we have and were really flexible. We did have some problems with our flight but they solve it really quickly. After that we didnt have any problem. Tha guide from Colca Canyon (Patricia) was really friendly and the driver too. Boris was really friendly and he take care of us on cusco. Another guide from cusco (Patricia) was friendly and she too answer all our questions. We really have a great time, we love the hotels they choose for us and the restaurants too. We did have a wonderful time. Thanks you for everything. I hope we can visit Peru again.

We are a group of 20 people from Hong Kong. Through Seppe, we organised a 15-day customised tour to Peru and Bolivia in March 2017. The experience was marvellous!

Below is our impression on the services of the key staff members of SATO that we had come across:

1.Mr. Seppe Bleukx, Travel Consultant of SATO Travels

  • We formulated our itinerary and every details with Seppe through emails in advance of the trip. Our communication with him was amazing because of his quick and resourceful response. He was always hand-on when assistance and advice were called for. His ability and flexibility to cope with sudden changes were deeply appreciated. Examples included our late addition of two group members and sudden swapping of another member at late stage. Before the trip, he provided us with a very useful booklet that gave vivid descriptions, beautiful photos and useful guides of the places to be visited. The itinerary planned did maximise our vacation time, meeting well with our expectations. He was fair and considerate, even advising us how to cut expenditure on certain activities.

  • We were more than satisfied with the seamless synchronising of pick-up and drop-off arrangements during the transfer from city to city. They were efficient and comfortable, executed in a punctual and professional manner.

2. Mr. Boris , Tour Director of the B.E.S.T. Travel for our Cusco and Machu Picchu part

  • Boris was smart, friendly and very responsible. He looked after us well in Cusco. He suggested us to leave our baggage in Ollantaytambo before going to Machupicchu, greatly alleviated our burden to carry them all the way to and fro!

3. Mr. Henry, Tourist Guide for our Cuscoand Machu Picchu part

  • Henry was dedicated and professional. He knew the scenic and historic spots inside out and was always enthusiatic to explain their background to us in great details. We felt safe, enjoyable and well looked after in our 4 days with him.

4. Mr. Julio Cesar, the Tourist Guide for our Bolivia part

  • We spent most of our trip with Julio and were truly grateful to his professional, personal, dedicated and reliable service. He is very knowledgeable, always answered our questions with great patience and respect.

  • He worked with heart and fervent passion. He often acted as our group's photographer. He helped those who had difficulty walking up and down steep slopes or on bumpy rocky roads. He remembered our special food preferences, escorting us in turns to the airport with different departure flight time, even in the middle of the night. In one case where he could not possibly come for the escort due to other work commitment, he phoned the driver twice to ensure the pick up were safely accomplished. We were very grateful to his dedication and sincere care for us!

  • He also suitably adjusted our itinerary to suit weather conditions and assisted us with initiation when we passed through customs from Peru to Bolivia. His effort of buying a birthday cake and ensuring it’s delivery to the restaurant where we were holding a birthday party for a member in La Paz was deeply appreciated. This showed he not only treated us as clients but dear good friends.

  • We are a bunch of retired professional people who are, in some ways, quite demanding. Yet, seldom can we come across such a trustworthy, helpful and efficient tourist guide. His professionalism and passion surely are an asset to the company which, if not recognised, should surely be recorded.

  • All in all, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the people mentioned above. Had they not been so good, our South American trip would not have been so enjoyable!!

  • Seppe Bleukx, of SATO, planned a personal itinerary for my wife, 4 of our friends and I. We traveled to
  • 4 very different locations –Buenos Aires, Iguazu Fall, Mendoza and Santiago Chile.
  • At each location we were provided with wonderful guides who made our travels meaningful, enjoyable,
  • stimulating and fun. The guides made certain that we had great experiences in each location we visited.
  • Our little group couldn’t choose a single highpoint in the trip. There are too many the splendid Teatro Colón
  • in Buenos Aires, the natural wonders of the great water falls in Iguazu, the balance of traditional and
  • sophisticated wine making in Mendoza and the beauty of the bus ride from Mendoza over the Andes to
  • Santiago. Certainly not least of our memories comes from the consistent quality and flavors of Argentine
  • cuisine.

We had a customized 14 day tour which was great! The sights were fantastic; many more sites to see than we expected. The guides were excellent! The service from SATO was beyond expectation, helping to solve a few problems when needed. We will use them again in the future and thank Seppe and his team for their personalized care. Feedback for SATO : It would have been preferable for us to have known more about some excursions and we woud have avoided scheduling the climbing trekking activities when planning the trip for Macchu Pichu and Titicaca. A negative feature in general was the early morning pick-up time on many of the days. Hotel choices and lunches overall were fine.

We are very pleased with the hotels, tours, transportation and scheduling arranged for us in Peru by Seppe at SATO. The trip was tiring for us (mid-70year's but very good health) and we were not able to do the Inca Trail hike up Huayna Picchu and back from Machu Picchu but we substituted our on unguided hike up towards Machu Picchu on the Inca Trail to the Inca Bridge and the Sun Gate, which was less strenuous and great fun. In particular, the Ramada Costa Del Sol hotel in Cuzco was wonderful. A beautiful grounds, close to the Cuzco Square and Cathedral, with a good restaurant. And all other hotels were either acceptable or very acceptable to us in every way, including the Dazzler Lima, the Sonesta Posades Hotel in Yucay (Hawaiian Pizza for dinner, gorgeous hotel grounds, great staff), the Hatun Intl Boutique Hotel in Aguas Calientas (don't worry about the dress-down lobby, rooms and service and nearby restaurants are all very nice) and the Inkaterra Lodge on the Rio Tambopata. The Rio Tambopata jungle was a real challenge to us because of our age, despite our excellent condition, and we were not able to participate in the THREE hikes planned within a single day (the first was about 6 miles through a swampy jungle in mud boots and that finished us for the day). But we would not miss the jungle experience because of the beauty and novelty of the plant and animal life. Mosquito defense was mandatory; we took all reasonable precautions and had no problems. Seppe handled all of our reservations and transportation within Peru, including several private tour guides, who were wonderful in every way; good English, excellent knowledge, patient and helpful. Daniel, our private Machu Picchu tour guide, was especially educational; his explanation of the history of the area was fascinating and moving. Janette, our private Sacred Valley guide, was also very knowledgeable and the two tours were a real pleasure for us. The power outlets were generally useable for 110-240VAC adapters with US two-prong plugs. Be advised that toilet paper usage in Peru is generally restricted (Google for recommended strategies; we packed baby wipes and plastic bags). Do NOT drink the water. SATO provided a detailed list of advice in our final tour package - read it. Overall, our ten-day SATO Peru Tour Package was long enough for the experience we wanted and not too long for our (aging) stamina. Highly recommended! Feedback for SATO : We had some problems with using our T-Mobile cell phones in Peru for voice and MSM (data was fine), which we never could diagnose. SATO may be able to provide some brief instructions that would help others - not sure.

We really enjoyed our travel experience with SATO. Visiting the wonderful and interesting Peruvian sites with knowledgeable guides made this a very memorable trip. The sites and explanations in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and especially Machu Picchu allowed us to not only see these amazing man-made structures but also to get a great feeling for the Quechuan (Incan) people. We also enjoyed the experience in the Amazon and the wildlife there.

We had an excellent time in Peru. The SATO team coordinated all of our events. We arrived everywhere on time and there a curteous and helpful english speaking guide at each transition. Each hotel selected was very comfortable had a welcoming and helpful staff. Some days were busier than others, but there was still a good balance in the schedule for down time, especially in the evenings. We stayed on the move but it was well worth it for all we got to experience.

We all four of us thoroughly enjoyed the 28 day tour, it was the most amazing experience, my 70th birthday present to myself was memorable and the day was spent at Machu Pichu and climbing Huayna Pichu, this was the hardest climb we’ve all ever done, but we managed without any problems, and although I feared the worst for my knee’s for next morning, I was pleasantly surprised to find they were, and still are, the best they have been for 10yrs.

Thank you Seppe for your attention to detail, nothing seemed to have been forgotten and it went as smoothly as we had been led to believe it would. Your service was impeccable and we had full faith in your ability to help out when necessary and we all felt comfortable in countries which were alien to us.

Thank you so much for organising such an unforgettable experience, and it was lovely to meet up with you in Cusco.

Also I would like to thank your team and especially Boris, for helping out when I accidently left a small bag on the aircraft during its transit. It was delivered to our hotel in Cusco next day.I think the main experience we can learn from this long tour was that we are visitors to someone elses country and we must try to go along with the differences compared with our own country. With this in mind we felt that we should all be a little more flexible and understanding in this curcumstance, this would lead to less frustration when things are not following the plan in exact detail, for instance we had to wait for the guide occasionally past the scheduled time.

I will most definitely be recommending SATO to more of our friends travelling to South America.

Although we were 15 days the above Tour choice was to include the Amazon, Cusco and so much more. Our guides primarily were excellent. A few with some language issues but we managed. Every transfer, instructions and service went without a hitch. So impressed with the organization over all. Only one hotel was a disaster; in the village prior to our day trip to Machu Pichu. I would highly recommend this agency NOT use this hotel in the future or other folks should upgrade the room. I had a bad fall in the shower which did affect the remainder of my trip and my husband could not fit into the shower stall or sit properly on the toilet as the space did not allow. Peru is a wonderful place to visit , magical. The Amazon is a must see for all.Our guide there was amazing, knowledgable and the accomodations and food simply brilliant. If Peru is of interest to you then SATO tours is the way to go. Highly recommend the agency without hesitation. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful.

Right from the idea to go to Machu Picchu and the first email contact with Sepe BIeukx realized that we will have the pleasure to work with a professional. Subsequently, we have seen the realization - our whole trip was amazing!

Although we have not met personally Seppe we all felt during this 14 days in Peru his support.

Also Sato and SATO's partners have made our Peru trip - UNFORGETTABLE.
Thanks to all who helped our Peruvian journey to be remembered not only with beautiful nature and amazing artifacts, but also with the nice Peruvian smiling people.

For sure our next trip to South America will be also with SATO.

Our best wishes

We had a group of four traveling together from Lima to Cuzco to the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu and to the Amazon. We were very pleased with the organization of the trip and the arrangement of tours and transport. All of our questions were promptly answered and the trip was personalized per our requests. The 4-star hotels were very nice and the staff friendly and accommodating. The tour guides were helpful and informative and the days were well planned. The experience of being in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu was unforgettable. The Hacienda Concepcion in the Amazon was a stand-out with beautiful accommodations and a lovely package of meals and excursions into the jungle.

This is definitely the way to experience Peru! We had individualized tours in all but the cities and were well taken care of. We would definitely book with SATO for any future trips to South America.

I would liek to compliment SATO and Seppe for the great job arranging our Peru trip. We had a group of 7 people traveling through Peru for 17 days in Lima, Paracas, Ica, Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Amazon jungle in early October, 2016. The transfer from the airport, bus station, train station and hotels were smooth and on time. The 3 stars hotels either met or exceeded our expectations. The tours were all with great guides and very knowledgeable. Seppe was always quick to respond to the email and any request/questions. Never dealt with a person commentated better than Seppe. The price was very reasnable as well. Just could not be more happier with the SATO and Seppe

The website is very informative about south america and packages available and for communication.

I have had a very pleasant time with the SATO arrangements for my trips. While in Peru 2013 and Argentina 2016.

I do have a suggestion on certain areas. I do understand that everything is not perfect but when I was in Buenos Aires I felt the city was basically very rundown it was a bit of a dissappointment the rest of trip was great. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words but the picture does not say all the words. I suggest that SATO asks where the client is from as far as landscape/urban and make a comparsion of where they will go and tell them more or less what to expect. Besides the itenerary. Otherwise great job. Feel free to call me. You have my ph# Matthew Balink.

Our trip to Machu Picchu has been on our bucket list for many years. We returned a week ago from our incredible trip and can't stop talking about it! Seppe was awesome in organizing a trip of a lifetime. We went to Lima, Cusco, Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu, and Puno/Lake Titicaca. I told Seppe what we wanted to do and he worked his magic organizing everything. Every aspect of the trip went smoothly. Boris in Cusco is fantastic. Each driver and guide we had was knowledgeable and the groups were never too large – a perfect amount of visitors. Although we were happy with the majority of the hotels that were booked, the first hotel in Miraflores, Hotel San Antonio Abad, didn't meet the same standards as the rest of the hotels Seppe arranged. The hotel was a little dated in the carpeting and needed a fresh coat of paint but the staff was extremely friendly! The Midori in Cusco was very nice and had great staff also but we were surprised on our second night by three small unwelcome visitors - roaches! I did mention it to the hotel staff and they were a bit surprised and we were not offered any discount. After that we didn't have any more encounters. Also, be prepared to pay for any additional oxygen after one 10 minute use at this hotel. The Midori had one particular gentleman in the dining room that was extremely helpful with tips for the shortness of breath due to the altitude. The other hotels were incredible! The Hotel Pakaritampu in the Sacred Valley is beautiful - I would have loved another night there. The Tierra Viva Hotels are wonderful establishments. Seppe has the patience of a saint!! I emailed him with so many questions before our trip and he always replied promptly. I had a little confusion about a hotel room while traveling and was able to reach Seppe by phone and he quickly took care of the confusion. I normally don't use a tour company but felt with so many variables I needed help. I'm so glad I had Seppe to guide me through this - his expertise was invaluable. I've already recommended him to friends! Thank you Seppe and SATO -- you made vacationing a breeze.
